I needed a way to carry extra water underneath the down tube on my Bike Friday All Packa. The mini thing cage is perfect for a 30 oz bottle, and holds it rock solid. I’m sure it will last a lifetime — I’ll have to update my will!
I strapped Nalgene bottles on both forks and headed down some steep unstable trails and they held fine. As that's what I bought them for I am very happy with my purchase.
Great little cage. Versatile and works as it should.
Works great. The strap slot is perfect for a bottle as tall as the cage, but shorter bottles will bounce at the bottom if MOUNTED UNDERNEATH the down tube. The strap hits 2/3 of the way up on my bottle, allowing it to pivot under the strap under hard hits, just a bit. Using a bottle boot and wrapping a couple of spots on the cage with silicone tape makes the rattling disappear. This is with ONE nano strap.
