In 2003, I bought my "last road bike," a Litespeed Vortex, and had my LBS order some King Cage ti cages because, though it seemed kind of an extravagance, nothing else would have been appropriate for a quality American made ti bike than quality MIA ti bottle cages. Over the course of two decades, lots of miles and more than a few misadventures, pretty much everything changed about that bike except for the frame and those cages, which have been there every mile. Some health challenges the past few years eventually forced me to buy another "last road bike," this one with pedal assist. My LBS is on hiatus, so I visited the King Cage website, where I instantly became intrigued by the Iris. Did a little more reading and knew I had to have one. Just like '03, the King Cage was the first accessory added to the new bike. Also just like '03, the Iris does not disappoint. It's beautiful, functional and tough as nails. The bottle doesn't move until I grab it. It's a conversation-starter, too, and my friends have humored me listening to the story I just told you. One friend said the Iris looked more like a sculpture than a bottle cage; I said she was right: it's a work of art. My only regret is that I'll need a range extender for touring next summer, meaning I can only have one Iris on the new bike. Maybe someone out there at the Durango World HQ can figure out a seat post solution ... Anyway, thanks for reading. If you're on the fence, definitely buy one of these quality products. Well worth the money.
I attached them to the fork to carry extra water, keeps the bottle in solidly on bumpy roads, easy to take out and slide back in the bottle for a sip while riding, like the style as well.
Purchased titanium Iris for my Azub tadpole trike because my bottles kept popping out of my old bottle cage. My bottles no longer pop out! The design of the Iris is cool and elegant. The Iris matches my bike. I love it! Thank you King cages!
Love the Iris Titanium. Holds bottles tight on chunky gravel, but able to easily remove from both sides. Saw some other people say it looks beautiful on the bike. They're not exaggerating. I'd love to get another one.
The Iris titanium cage holds my water bottle great. I love the unique design, too . I would 100% recommend buying this cage if you don’t want to lose your water bottle.
